Product description
Wooden wicks with "Merry Christmas" engraving - festive, winter
Engraved "Merry Christmas" beech wood wicks are an attractive detail that will highlight the festive character of your candle and give it a unique, seasonal finish.
The wicks are made of beech wood, are raw and unimpregnated. Intended for the production of container candles made from paraffin, vegetable waxes, and wax blends.
The wicks were produced in Poland and packed in a paper bag.
Wick clips/bases are not included in the set.
Material: beech wood
Type: straight wooden wick with "Merry Christmas" engraving
Condition: raw, unimpregnated
Width: 2.5 cm
Thickness: 0.1 cm
Length: 10 cm
Wick burn diameter: approx. 8-11 cm
*The given burn diameter was estimated based on tests conducted using pure Y50 soy wax. This value is indicative and does not guarantee an identical result in every candle. The burn performance of the wick is influenced by factors such as the type of wax, the diameter and shape of the container, the amount of fragrance oil, the dyes and additives used, and the construction of the finished candle. Before starting larger production, always perform burn tests with your own formula.
Recommendations for use:
- When shortening engraved wicks, we recommend adjusting the wick length before pouring wax into the container and trimming it from the bottom. This will preserve the correct length and engraving.
- Before lighting, it is recommended to trim the wooden wick to a height of approximately 3-6 mm above the wax surface.
- The wick can be pre-impregnated, e.g., with the wax used for the production of the specific candle.
- When lighting for the first time, a wooden wick may need a little more time for the flame to stabilize.
- The finished candle should be left for at least 48 hours before the first burn.
- Before each subsequent lighting, remove the charred part of the wick by gently trimming or crumbling it.
If a single wick does not provide adequate burning, you can use two wooden wicks during testing. They can be joined in parallel in a "sandwich" or "overlap" configuration. This configuration increases the burn power, so a full candle test must be performed again.

Product safety
Safety information: The product is intended for candle making. It is not a toy. Wood is a flammable material. Wicks should be stored away from open flames, sparks, hot surfaces, and other sources of ignition. Exercise particular caution when impregnating the wick with hot wax due to the risk of burns. Before pouring the candle, make sure the wick has been properly seated in the appropriate holder and firmly secured to the bottom of the container. Before using the wick in a finished candle, carry out appropriate burn tests for the specific wax, container, fragrance composition, and additives. An incorrectly chosen wick may cause, among other things, a flame that is too high or unstable, sooting, excessive heating of the container, too rapid burning, or improper formation of the melted wax pool. Do not use wicks that are damp, dirty, damaged, or otherwise altered if this could affect their burning. Store the product in a dry and clean place, protected from moisture and sources of ignition. Keep out of reach of young children and animals.
