Mica flakes

Natural mica in the form of irregular flakes is an attractive decorative additive with a delicate, pearlescent sheen. The flakes have an irregular shape and naturally reflect light, making them suitable for decorating candles, waxes, fragrance tablets, resin, and other handmade projects.

Mica is a naturally occurring mineral. The mineral itself is non-flammable, however, when decorating candles, the impact of the entire decoration on the burning performance of the finished product should always be considered.

Although mica as a mineral is not a flammable material, its presence in a candle can affect the wick's behavior and the flow of melted wax. The final recipe and decoration method should always be verified during the candle burn test.

Colored mica may stain wax.
